that if you want to make a PS3 game you have to spend extra money to hire help form Sony, this cannot be good for the future of the platform, more time money and effort = less developer support.
Now come on DJ, PS3 is not selling more software than 360, you will find no numbers to prove that, what you will find are numbers that prove the amount of software sold on PS3 by 3rd parties is growing faster than it is on 360, as it better be since it was at disastrously low levels in comparison to 360 in the early PS3 years.
360 still sells more than Wii and PS3 for 3rd parties by far, and MS has nothing to worry about yet, and as their install base takes off due to the price...

But in this case the numbers are just being misread. When they say Q2 07/08 they are say Quarter 2 2007 vs 2008, they are referring to the percentage of growth, from one to another.
The total revenue per console has nothing to do with this, 360s sell far more games for 3rd parties than PS3, its a known fact based on "the numbers" that you have so much trust in, and rightly so.

now I felt the same way as you do when I was planning on getting a PS3, then I started doing research, bluray has still not done a dam thing for gaming, PS3 exclusives on bluray do not have better graphics because of it, or more content, at least no content worth mentioning. Sure long cutt scenes and in game movies ala MGS4 but who really wnats that stuff in the middle of their game.
And finally, I would rather swap disks than wait for load times ala MGS4 and mandatory installs...

LBP is not going to sell many systems, only hardcore PS3 fans will care about that game, its too nich to have casual appeal. So he is probably right, even with the coming exclusives I dont see a big spike in PS3 sales, PS3 sales rarely have spiked when big games dropped on it that were supposed to spike sales.

Im waiting for this, I need a next gen console NOW, and these prices on 360 are hard to pass up. By the time this slim line comes out I will be picking up a PS3. My goal is to ultimately own both. Im not interested in the wii, Im more of a serious gamer.
